Saved and The Distinguished Member of the Humane Society. Sir Edwin Henry Landseer, best known for his lion sculptures in Trafalgar Square, London, created a dog painting called Saved in 1856 which depicts a Newfoundland dog saving a small child from drowning. Eighteen years previous to that he had used the same dog breed for his now famous The Distinguished Member of the Humane Society. Each of the dogs portrayed, which may actually be two images of the same animal, are of the black and white variety of Newfoundland not particularly common at the time. His obvious love for this particular breed made Landseer famous with dog kennels and shows around the world. The Landseer Newfoundland is named after him. Semi-gloss paints are very similar to gloss plaints except it has lesser sheen. Semi-gloss is also suitable for rooms with high humidity (best used for children's room) and can be used for trim works and casings. These paints ensure maximum durability. Alkyd is an old interior paint made newly popular by a change in solvent - a super-refined petroleum chemical that has almost no odor. It is not a water paint. You thin it and clean brushes with mineral spirits or turpentine, or, if you want to retain the odorless feature, with the new odorless solvent. (Ask the paint-store man for just that, odorless solvent).

Ecological Paint. The "organic" paint brands, such as Ecos, which emerged in the late 1980s, heralded a new era of odourless paints, free of solvents and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and paved the way for other companies' environmentally safe formulas. Following European legislation, the first stage in lowering the solvent content in paints and varnishes is set to come into force in 2007. When it comes to makeup, make your lips look fuller by wearing shades of peach, apricot or mango. Make your eyes pop, by wearing eye shadows in light greens, light brown or copper. For a dramatic look, wear eye pencil colors in blue, palm green or brown with brown or navy mascara. Add glow to your cheeks by wearing peach and light coral blushes. And if you are changing colors be sure you and the paint shop are crystal clear on what color they're going to spray. Never just describe the color. You won't get what you want. Guaranteed. If you're not using a factory original color then find out what kind of car the color you want came on. Give the shop a year, model and paint name and then insist on seeing a paint chip. Take the chip outside to see it in the sun light and verify that it's what you want. There's nothing more disappointing then spending all these hours and money only to watch your car come out of the shop the wrong color. Now that you determined whether you are Warm or Cool, the next step is to determine whether you are Light or Deep. Once again, your eyes, skin tone and hair color are the most important factors in determining whether you are Light or Deep. Eye color is determined by whether your eyes are on the darker side or lighter side. If your eyes are light blue or green, then you are Light. If your eyes are dark brown or black then you are Deep. To determine your skin tone think of the following: if you are Light, your skin tone does not tan well and you either have fair skin or porcelain skin. If you are Deep your skin tone tends to tan well, think of a rich complexion.
