The modern archetype of the evil clown has unclear origins; the stock character appeared infrequently during the 19th century, in such works as Edgar Allan Poe’s “Hop-Frog”, which is believed by Jack Morgan, of the University of Missouri-Rolla, to draw upon an earlier incident “at a masquerade ball”, in the 14th century, during which “the King and his frivolous party, costumed—in highly flammable materials—as simian creatures, were ignited by a flambeau and incinerated, the King narrowly escaping in the actual case. ” Evil clowns also occupied a small niche in drama, appearing in the 1874 work La femme de Tabarin by Catulle Mendès and in Ruggero Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci (accused of being a plagiarism of Mendès’ piece), both works featuring murderous clowns as central characters.
Red color belongs to the three main colors (together with blue and yellow). This color has a lot of shades from light pink to reddish brown. Red is an ideal irritant, there is a reason it is used in corrida to irritate the fighting bulls. What are the major color fields in the painting and their role in the entire composition? Is the light optically realistic or expressive as in Matisse's painting? Intensity refers to a colors brightness or saturation. Intensity refers to how pure a color is. For instance, if you were to use cadmium red straight from the tube, it would have a high intensity. If you were to mix it with another color however, its intensity would be diminished.

So, a 1 would be the palest Nordic complexion with light blond hair. A 10 would be the deepest ebony skin tone and dark or black hair. So, for example: most Mediterranean and Middle Easterners have dark eyes and deep skin and are, therefore, Deep. Most Northern Europeans have blonde hair and light eyes and are Light. Where do you fall? Give yourself a number. If you fall anywhere from 1 to 4 then you are a Light. If you are 5 or greater you are on the Deep side.
