Yellow color is sunny and light. Historically this color symbolizes gold and wealth, and in the East it is a symbol of eternity and greatness. This color creates optimistic and bright mood and goes together greatly with the other colors of the interior. At the same time the warm sunny tints never carry a negative charge. Yellow color creates an impression of lightness and joy. It frees you from the weight of worries, problems, and limits. This color is hope and expectation of big happiness in its multiple forms starting with sex and going up to some philosophical and religious outlooks. STENCILING. You may want designs on the walls, or perhaps even on floors and ceilings, in some of the rooms or hallway. You may buy or make your own stencils, which should be on heavy paper, stencil board, plastic, or metal. Avoid stencils made of lightweight paper which will get soaked when touched by wet paint. Your paint dealer will suggest the best paint for you to use, as it will depend a great deal on the surface over which you want to put the stenciled designs. Generally a heavy paint is used, so that it will not spread under the stencil while you are applying it. Green is one of the main colors. It is physiologically optimal since this is the color of the natural environment, under the conditions of which people's color vision was created. Green color corresponds to stability, strength, constancy, perseverance, willpower, and the feeling of self-significance. Green color symbolizes prosperity and new beginnings, it calms you down and counterbalances. This color neutralizes the effects of the main colors and helps disperse negative emotions. It brings tranquility and peace, helps concentrate and increasing your likely hood in making decisions.

A large whitewash brush is best for applying the wash. One should not attempt to brush out the coating, as in applying oil paint, but simply spread the whitewash on as evenly and quickly as possible. THE BACKROUND. Collect information on the artist and the historical background. To analyze "Guernica" by Picasso, you need to know that Guernica is a town demolished by the Nazi, and you have to read up on the essential features of cubism. To interpret the image of kissing people covered by a piece of cloth in Magritt's "The Lovers", whatever you guess by looking at the painting falls flat once you know that the artist's mother got drowned in the river, and when found, a piece of cloth was wrapped around her head. So, don't rely on your skills and taste too much, there are things you need to KNOW before you start making assumptions. The historical background of the paintings itself is important. Was the artist an innovator, did he start a new trend or movement, whose steps did he/she follow? What experiments was he involved with? How was the painting perceived by the contemporaries? Claude Monet started impressionism with the painting "Sunrise. Impressions". Malevych started suprematism as a development on abstractionism, laying out the new artistic theory of the color, the form and the composition of the painting. The rough lines and raw colors in the fauvist paintings may be traced back to Van Gogh. Do you think there is something new suggested in the painting you are looking at, or is there anything at all distinguishing about it? Interior paints are used to obtain pleasing decorative effects, improve sanitary conditions, and insure better lighting. These paints may be divided into four types: wall primers; one-coat flats; flat, semigloss, and gloss; and water paints. The first thing you need to do is clean your baseboards, doors, and wood work with a damp rag. Yes, your baseboards are that dirty. Now comes the time consuming process of taping off. This is a step that is skipped by most do it your self people and let me tell you it shows. Like I mentioned before a paint job is only as good as the straightness off it's lines don't cheat yourself here. Buy low stick professional painters tape and allow the walls to properly dry before you apply. Take your time as this process cannot be rushed through, but will give professional looking results. If you have carpet use 2 inch regular painters tape and tuck it in real good where the carpet meets the baseboard. Remove door hardware it takes two seconds and failure to do so will only slow you down in the long run. Open the windows and break out any fans as painting with oil based paint comes with paint fumes.
